"I had a difficult time after my stroke.
I went to the hospital and then to rehab to regain my physical function. When I was released, I was happy to be able to go home, but I wasn't sure how I would continue to monitor my health.
My family doctor recommended the spasticity app for follow-up care to detect spasticity early. I was skeptical at first, but I wanted to stay healthy and gave the spasticity app a chance. The app was easy to install and use, and I could monitor my movements with my smartphone.
After three weeks of regular use, the app recommended that I go back to my GP. I was surprised because I didn't feel worse, but I decided to follow the app's advice. My GP eventually diagnosed spasticity in my left arm. I was relieved that the app had helped me detect the spasticity early.
My family doctor referred me to a neurologist who recommended botulinum toxin therapy. The treatment was successful and after a few weeks the spasticity in my left arm disappeared. I was able to take care of myself again in everyday life and even go to work.
I am very grateful to my GP and the Spasticity App for helping me improve my health and detect my spasticity early. I would recommend the app to anyone who is struggling with spasticity after a stroke and wants to stay healthy."
